Beatstad Festival (English)
The Beatstad Festival earns its name from the early and mid sixties when The Hague was named the 'beat city' for all its small local venues where several bands played their music. In those days a lot of well-known bands like Golden Earring, Q65 and The Motions started their careers in The Hague.
Beatstad started as a party in The Hague with several local artists performing at the Malieveld. Meanwhile it has developed into an event for over 40.000 visitors whom can enjoy well-known Dutch and international artists. Contributions of municipality The Hague and business relations ensure a low entrance price. Moreover a part of the turnover will be donated to a charity.

It is situated near The Hague Central Station. The accessibility by public transport is optimal: trains, trams and busses all have their terminal near the area. The 60,000 m2 counting area can hold over 50,000 visitors.
